
Chili Cook-Off Rules

You must bring your chili in a slow cooker/Crock Pot or alternative heating source.
You must bring a serving utensil.
Please bring a minimum of a gallon of your soup, stew or chili.
Please keep your chili, soup or stew secret, as to not throw the votes.
There will be panel of judges from our animal rescue community judging your chili soup or stew. There will be 1st & 2nd place, and a people's choice winner!
You must register your chili, soup or stew by Sunday, March 30th, 2025.
Chili, soup or stew must be cooked from scratch.
You may decorate your serving space.
All chili, soup or stews must be cooked in a sanitary manner.
Judges will abstain from inspecting/sampling chili, soup or stews prior to judging.
Judges and The People will take into consideration the aroma, the consistency, the color, the taste, and the after taste.

What is the cost, and what do we need to bring?
Registration is free. You are responsible to bring your own crock pot, slow cooker or other heating source. You will need to bring a serving utensil. If you choose to decorate your chili space, you may do so by bringing your own decorations.
What is the set-up time, and when is judging?
You may set up your area between any time after 1 pm. Your area/chili, soup or stews must be ready by 3 pm. We suggest you bring warmed chili, soup or stew to the event, to assure it is hot and ready on time. Judges will be served at 3:15 pm. All other guests will eat following that time.

What is the People's Choice Award?
After the judges have all sampled the chili, soups and stews, all other guests will be allowed to eat. We will have a few sides to compliment the chili, soup or stew.
